I don't usually do testimonials, but in this case I felt I had to. I had a problem with my 320GB hard drive. It seems the circuit board and motor were fried and the disk wouldn't spin. I received estimates of $2200-$2700 to recover my data from other recovery sites. I found Crucial Data Recovery on line and spoke with Alex who quoted me a price range. I sent him my drive and after checking it out he quoted me a fixed price of $759 which was not any higher than he first said. He did the recovery for the price quoted and didn't go above it and I now have 100% of my old data back on my new hard drive. Just to mention that because of my hard drives condition the restore had to be done in a 'clean room'. I highly recommend having Crucial Data Recovery do any recovery work you may need done. If needed in the future I WILL DEFINITELY USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Thank you, Alex, for a job well done.    - Mat G. - MA

I had a 2.0TB Western Digital MyBook drive fail. It held all the family data across the home network for 8 years. When it failed Western Digital claimed it was out of warranty and quoted astronomical prices to recover the data. I contacted Crucial Data Recovery after searching the web and reading the reviews of the company. It took 3 days from submitting the request to packaging the drive and mailing it to Crucial Data Recovery to receive a response from Alex on the state of the drive. I expected it would require invasive clean room repair so was not surprised to hear the cost. Once I authorized the work to be performed Alex was providing hourly updates as to the progress. Once Alex confirmed the data was successfully recovered and moved to a new USB hard drive it was shipped to my house in 2 days. The entire process took less than a week and the family has recovered 300 GB of family memories. Thanks for the great service and communication. Hopefully I will never need their services again but should I need to recover lost data then Crucial Data Recovery is the only company I will use. Great job guys!    - Mike G.

I had some sort of summer power surge, even through protection, and sustained damage to 2 enclosures, 1 with 1 2 TB drive and 1 with 4 TB drives as a RAID 0, containing a mix of backed up and non-backed up files (I am a video editor, high files). A Google search brought up Crucial Data Recovery, and after a desperate Sunday AM phone call to them was answered (apparently it is really 24/7 service), I sent the drives. Each was evaluated and responded to within a couple hours of their arrival. They let me know every step of the way how things were going, and what it all would cost. The estimates were accurate, and the data came back to me totally recovered and usable. The cost was far less than any of the other services I have looked into. VERY HIGH RECOMMENDATION!!!!!!!!!    - Michael H.

I cant believe that Crucial Data Recovery saved all of my data from my dead 1TB Bigger Disk LaCie. They save all of my photos and scanned home documents. And it was less than $1300 for a RAID 0 recovery. I had about five quotes ranging from $2000 to $5000 with no guarantees. Alex at Crucial - you and your company are godsends!!! Thanks and will use again!!!!    - Victor R. - Chicago, IL

Alex and his team at Crucial Data Recovery just recovered very nearly all of some 6.8 million files totaling almost 3TB from a badly damaged RAID array for us. The flat rate pricing was easy to understand and was certainly more than reasonable (especially compared to the heart-stopping figures quoted by some other vendors for the same job.) CDR earned every bit of what they charged. They even helped me after the sale with some issues I had copying the data back after they had recovered it. As a smaller operation, they are able to provide personalized service, where you can get right through to someone who knows what's going on with your case, rather than having to get transferred to multiple people who aren't specifically familiar with your case like you might have to at a big company. I will certainly look to using them again for future needs and would highly recommend them to others based on my recent experience.     - David Wojtowicz, Coordinator of IT and Research School of Earth, Society and Environment (SESE) Univ of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

I lost any hopes that I could access my files. My friend advised me to call "Crucial Data Recovery" and recommended that company as knowledgeable and reliable. I brought computer to "Crucial Data Recovery", In a couple of hours I received a call from the company: I was told what was the cause of the problem, how long it would take to fix it, and how much it would cost. I was like a miracle!!! In addition, they gave recommendations how to avoid possible corruption. I hope, I would not have such problems with my computer again. But if I would, definitely I will call Crucial Data Recovery!!    - Nancy L.

The head assembly on my hard drive was broken. My local computer repair shop can only repair software issues. I was sick to my stomach believing that all my data was lost. My local repair shop recommended Crucial Data Recovery. I sent the hard drive to Crucial Data Recovery and they started working on it as soon as they received it. They emailed me a crucial file for my home business and they were able to retrieve all my other data. Precious pictures, important documents, etc....... They communicate well with you and they tell you the cost upfront. The cost was very reasonable, less than what I thought it would be. I will recommend Crucial Data Recovery to all my friends and family.    - Linda W.

My computer crashed a while ago, destroying my hard drive in the process. I had thousands of pictures and videos of family, travels, and other unforgettable moments; I was scared that I had lost these precious memories forever. I was looking at other data recovery services, many of which wanted over $1,000, with no guarantees of recovery. I found Crucial Data Recovery and after doing some research on it, I chose to send them my drive. As soon as I submitted my case, they quoted me either $450 or $750, depending on the condition on the drive. I send them my hard drive on Monday, on Wednesday they told me that it would cost $750, as the drive was severely damaged, and by Monday, it was at my house with not only the most important material, but EVERY single file on the drive. They sent me daily updates about the recovery process and had a very simple payment setup. I would recommend this company to anybody, as this is as good of service as you will receive anywhere.    - Charles O.

When my computer crashed I was sick at heart. All my genealogy sources were on there, all pictures of my family from the past ten years, all my music, not to mention hundreds of documents and other important papers. Fortunately I had transferred my genealogies to a flash drive just before the crash. I was told by the Geek Squad that my hard drive was corrupted, that it had 25 GB of data on it and they could only recover 24 GB, that it would take 300 hours, be very expensive and have to be done in a clean room. Crucial Data Recovery recovered 85 GB (big difference!) which is everything I had on the bad drive. It took approximately two weeks from initial correspondence to receipt of the external hard drive containing all the information from the old drive. It was worth every penny it cost. I would recommend Crucial Data Recovery to anyone!    - Connie R.

I don't normally write testimonials, but I must write this one. I dropped my portable Hitachi TravelStar on the floor two months ago, and afterwards was unable to access it. it was making a loud scratching noise. I called some repair shops around town, but none of them were able to deal my problem, as I was told repeatedly that it would require a clean room and a couple of thousand dollars. Well, I went online and contacted a half-dozen data recovery companies, and sure enough, the lease expensive was $1,700.00. Then I ran across Crucial Data Recovery. Well, when I saw the price (which the majority of the other companies won't even list), my first thought was this must be a ripoff (sorry, Alex!). I did some research on the company, checked it through the BBB, local chamber of commerce, and the Ohio Attorney General's office, and found nothing negative whatsoever. I contacted CDR, and received a prompt response from Alex. He told me that, based on my description, it was probably physical damage and would require the clean room process. The good thing, however, was that it was going to cost me $759.00. I decided to send my drive in, and received a prompt assessment confirming the physical damage and cost. I gave approval to repair it, and a couple of weeks later, I have 90% of my data (including all of my 8-year old daughters pictures) back in my possession. The only additional cost was $75.00, which covered the cost of a replacement drive (which was larger and less expensive than the one I sent in). Alex and the gang at CDR are great, and I would highly recommend them if you ever find yourself in need of data recovery.     - Mike M. - St. Louis, MO

I was very please with Crucial Data Recovery. They recovered all of my data despite a head crash. They answered emails promptly and kept me posted. I never had any trouble reaching them by phone. It was a pleasure to be able to deal with a local shop.     - Peter G. - Cleveland, OH

Fast, fast, fast recovery. Miraculous. I thought my broken hard drive didn't have a chance of data retrieval. But Crucial did it. And at more than half the price of New York companies. Thanks SOOOO much!    - Christopher P. - Sherman Oaks, CA

Crucial handled my fried System Disk perfectly. I was made aware of the choices, the prices, and the level of warranty immediately. I sent off my precious WD 500 GB disk, which happened to contain a work-in-progress that represented about 600 person-hours of my work. Alas, my continuous backup process was omitting the crucial file type, due to my original setup error for Memeo. (Since fixed, obviously!) Crucial was able to recover everything I needed, losing only a couple of non-essential damaged directories that had nothing to do with my direct work. The process was effortless and successful, in spite of my interim anxieties while awaiting the outcome. I recommend these folks highly for customer service/support, for the promptness of action/response, and for the quality of their work.    - Peter B. - Stow, MA

I lost one of my RAID drives in a RAID 0 setup due to a drive error. Though I had lost all of my wife's and my picture's and important files. Wife was not pleased! Then after looking around I thought I wasn't going to be able to afford a recovery. After submitting my case, Alex came to my rescue. He was able to recover the data and put it on the good drive and send it back to me. Then another problem occurred, my computer didn't want to recognize the drive. After an online linkup with Alex, he was unable to fix the problem too. But the service didn't stop there! Alex had me send the drive back and put it on a new drive for me at no extra charge. Ask me, if I had to do it again, Yes I would. Would I recommend Crucial Data Recovery to anyone, Yes I would! Want to ask me personally? E-mail me at "bignewsantafe@yahoo.com" put Crucial Data Recovery in the subject line. Thank you CDR. & Thank you, Alex.    - Allen M. - Lyle WA

From the first email seeking information on their service to the receiving my recovered data - the experience was excellent.I just did not expect such a great experience!!! In today's time to be in constant communications and in the know on each step of recovering process was a surprise and a very welcome sight! I rate this firm with a A+    - Bruce P. - Crystal Lake, IL

Super fast and exellent communicaiton during the recovery process and after recovery. I felt the price was very reasonable as compaired to other companies I considered. Shipping was fast and the recovery was very successful. CDR customer service was friendly and helpful and answered all my quesions. Thank you and I will use your services again if needed. I endorse CDR as friendly and professional and had no hidden charges. Thank you very much.    - Donell O. - Nordwick, AK

The service is exactly what they advertise. My WD Elements crashed on me October 2010. I am charged with taking care of my wife's photography business. Photos these days can take up so much space especially when you shoot several weddings/year. About half of a wedding album was left on this drive when it crashed. I would estimate that 99.8% of the files are recovered. There were unfortunately about 8 of the bouquet toss pics that were damaged but we are working on getting them fixed. I was very skeptical after reading so much good, bad and indifferent information on the internet regarding data recovery companies and related scams. I even got to the point where I doubted the validity of the reviews published for Crucial Data Recovery. I sent the drive to them...and prayed. I got an email every time the status was updated and a phone call to talk about what is going on. I received the data at my doorstep in less than 3 weeks, one week of which I took time to shop for another hard drive and mailed it to them for the transfer. So their service was completed in less than 2 weeks for me. Anyway, long story short, I am very happy with the successful recovery and the reasonable cost to do so. $649 was my total, plus the cost of a new hard drive. Lesson learned is not to STORE data on an external hard drive, only use it to BACK UP data, and keep it in a safe place apart from your computer. Again, for us, they came through exactly as advertised. Thank you!    - Anthony S. - Greenwood, IN

Our WD NetCenter (home NAS) failed with the family's data, including two businesses. The most recent backup was 11 months prior,( for which I feel shame and guilt.) After trying the freezer and researching data recovery alternatives, I was led to Crucial by it's good reviews and price. The drive had suffered a head crash, and so needed their most expensive level of recovery, which was "only" $649. This would seem a lot, until you check everyone else. My sense is that it could easily have been double or triple that elsewhere. They kept their promise: The good news is that the price was exactly that. (I sent an external drive to them for the data return, they didn't even charge shipping!). The bad news was that it took 5 weeks. The WD NetCenter drives use a very unusual file format, and they had a hard time accessing it. First, they had me send in the housing, that didn't work. (Online search uncovered comments from others with failed netcenters, and it was a known issue that only the exact drive would work in the housing, so a week was lost there.) Coincidental or not, I spent awhile researching on line, and sent suggestions to Crucial. The next day they got the drive with the image of ours recognized by a computer and retrieved everything! In the course of that research, I got a good appreciation for just how undecipherable that drive's file format was, and it tempered my impatience. They were kind enough to FTP us some key files ahead of the replacement disk. All the data I've inspected so far seems to be in good shape. Bottom line: All the data recovered at the advertised price of $649, even though it took them 5 weeks to figure it out, putting in what I would guess was above average labor, while I was sweating bullets.     - Tom S. - Port Angeles, WA

OUTSTANDING service at an incredible price. Crucial was half the price of all three other quotations I got. They have an outstanding case tracking tool that tells you exactly where your drive is in the process. My drive was repaired within less than 48 hours. I would look no further than Crucial Data Recovery for all your hard disk data recovery needs.    - Tom B. - Charlotte, NC

CDR and Alex were very professional and kept me informed at every step of the process.I shopped around and they most definately have the best prices. Their turnaround time was good and they were great with ewlping me with follow questions when I got my data back. (as I am not very techy). I have already recommeded you to others. Thank you.    - Kecia M. - Nampa, ID

Crucial Data Recovery is absolutely the best anywhere. My external drive arrived today and all my files were there. Alex was great and the price was more than fair after talking to some companies who wanted to charge me 2K. I highly recommend the folks at Crucial Data Recovery.     - Sandra Phipps, Alexandria, VA

My client had his primary hard drive fail days before a critically important business trip. Information vital to the trip and his business were on the drive and not backed up. The drive was completely dead...no response whatever. I contacted Crucial Data Recovery, and they walked us through the entire process. Their communications and professionalism were outstanding. They were able to recover 100% of the data on the dead drive, saving the day for my client. Thank you CDR!    - Jack R. - Southbury, CT

Crucial Data Recovery was FAST. They kept in touch at every step of the way, received, tested, results, quote. Phone available, at all times. Once quote was given, and I responded it was overnight and it was done, and sent home. Very pleased.    - Denise C. - Ellington, CT

These guys know what they are doing! I had a less than 2 year old external drive fail on me. It was my backup disk and when I got my new laptop I copied everything off onto it from my old but neglected to copy it back when I was done. As a result, I lost 15 years worth of pictures and digital home videos. I searched the web and found CDR to have positive reviews and flat fee pricing. I wsn't sure if mine would require a clean room or not so I was a little worried at first. I sent them the drive and was given an upfront cost of $369. I bought a new drive and sent it to them b/c my data totaled over 750gb. They had it back to me in under a week of reciept of my broken drive. I'm now happily re-sorting (and backing up) my stuff recovered which was 100%!    - Mike F.

Unknowingly left my external hard drive attached to my computer when I ran a recovery and lost 2-1/2 years of pictures. Went to Best Buy was told this was a level 2 recovery and to just look at it would be $600. Saw similar and higher prices as researched. Found CDR and almost thought it was a scam because it sounded so resonalble. Sent the drive to Alex at CDR, great communications along the way, fast service and delivery all for $169.00 total!    - Samuel G. - New Cumberland, PA

Well, I assume you are reading this because you failed to back up and lost some critical data. You are likely freaking out and considering spending insane amounts of money to recover this data. You found Crucial and saw the transparent prices and thought ...jeez...$650 to get all that I lost back. That would be worth it. Well, then you've come to the right place. I had let some time go by without backing up and would've lost some critical files (I'm a writer) so I was buying back labor (hours spend in a library and in front of a computer). My hard drive had a head crash after a fall. Macbook. Saw the folder of doom with the question mark. Took it to Apple geniuses who tried to recover the data and failed. Was told data recovery would cost at least $800 and with no guarantees. I was not optimistic. I did a lot of research and read so many bad reviews for other companies with shady dealings before I found Crucial. I liked the transparency. Alex was great and VERY responsive. I was reassured that I would pay nothing (but the cost of shipping my drive back) if there wasn't recovery. They were fast and true to their word. $650 flat and EVERYTHING was recovered. If you find yourself in need of this service because you failed to back up...this is your company. I could not recommend this place more. Professional. Fast. Transparent. "Affordable." They get the job done.    - Sam R. - Seattle, WA

I'm the IT Guy at my work so I have some tools available to me to recover data but nothing in my bag of tricks worked in this case. The drive was mechanically damaged. I have used data recovery services in the past to recover critical business data from laptops and servers with faulty drives and I know firsthand how ridiculously expensive this kind of service can be. But it had been a couple years so I searched the web to see if I could find a service that was more affordable. I found Crucial and though the flat fee pricing sounded too good to be true I figured I had nothing to lose and a lot to gain if we could get our precious pictures back. Crucial turned out to be everything their website advertised them to be. The whole process was extremely easy and very fast. I did it all online and via email expect for the final step of calling in with my credit card payment. It looks like I am another one of many satisfied customers!    - Rob P. - Kent, WA

As the IT manager for my household, I was under extreme pressure when the final draft of my wife's book disappeared on the death of her hard drive. I was impressed by the straightforward pricing on CDR's Web site and then knocked out by their professionalism. My wife's book was saved with a two-day turnaround the week before Labor Day. They even e-mailed us the file so that my wife could hold it in her hands (and copy it on a flash drive that now hangs around her neck). Bravo!    - Chris F. - Brooklyn, NY

When my LaCie disk went down it was the first time I had ever had such a problem. When I looked on the web to see who could handle my problem here in Cleveland I found Crucial Data Recovery. I was impressed with their website which gave me all the information I needed. I read about the steps they would take, what the various possibilities were and how much the charges would be for each outcome. Obviously they took great care with the site which is a good recommendation in itself. Other sites didn't provide this information and so I decided to use them. They quickly retrieved 100% of the data and put it on a new disk which they had in stock. No hesitation in giving CDR five stars. CDR quoted realistic prices and stuck to them. Their analysis of my disc when I sent it to them was completely consistent with my own analysis, so I felt comfortable with the honesty of the diagnosis - not a small issue when sending one's valuable data off to the other side of the country. No data recovery is cheap, of course, but they were cheap compared to any other price I found, and incredibly cheap compared to the cost of trying to recreate my data. I certainly didn't suffer any sort of bait-and-switch on the pricing, which is a problem I've seen with reviews of other data recovery services.    - Lydia R. - Redwood City, CA

The hard drive in the laptop was stepped on and Alex was able to get most all of the data back to me in a matter of a week. I am glad the data was not lost and was recoverable. The price was a big factor in taking on Crucial Data to do the work, the final cost was alot less than what was quoated from the local shops. Great service and fast recovery. I would use them again if needed.    - Mike H. - Richmond, TX

I was behind in backing up my wife's laptop when her computer's fan failed. The resultant overheating fried the hard drive's circuit board and head assembly, so I was unable to get to the data on the disk (even with an external drive housing) because the disk would not spin up. There were some very important files on that drive, so I started pricing data recovery services, since I figured the data was still intact on the disk's magnetic media. The local places I contacted were going to charge $500 minimum (for the easy cases) to $2,000 if they needed to open the drive in a cleanroom. I figured it might be the clean room case, and $2,000 was more than I could afford. I did some web research and found Crucial Data Recovery. They had good reviews, and amazingly low flat-rate prices, so I decided to give them a try. They received the drive on a Wednesday, and I received an email at 8:14am acknowledging receipt of the drive. At 8:35am that same day, I received an email with the diagnosis and quote for the circuit board replacement and the needed clean room replacement of the drive's head assembly: $649. I gave them the go-ahead. Friday morning, I received an email saying that the 145 GB data recovery had been 100% successful. I paid an extra $35 for next-day (Saturday) delivery to Oregon. As promised, on Saturday I received the external USB drive I had sent with the failed drive, with all 145 GB of the recovered data -- only 3 days after they had received the "dead" drive! Overall, this was a great experience -- I would definitely recommend Crucial Data Recovery to others! :-)    - John H. - Tualatin, OR

One of the best Data Recovery companies I have ever used, not only were they fast and professional, but more importantly I got all of my clients data back! This company seems to be setting a new standard by breaking the barriers of prices ranging from $400 to $3800 and usually being quoted on the higher end of the range, with most companies in this business I felt like there was no predictability, they simply charged what they felt like they could get away with that hour, however this company for the first time has changed all of that, with offering simple honest flat rates depending on your level of damage.... Highly recommended A+++.    - Sasha S. - Nyack, NY

My wife and I had just vacationed in Kauai and took some amazing video of jungle hikes, waterfalls, beaches, etc. When we went to transfer the video to our laptop, the files somehow got corrupted and were complete deleted from our camcorder. Needless to say, we became very sad and concerned that we would have to pay a fortune to recover the deleted videos. Our concerns grew as we received quotes as much as $1200. I stumbled upon Crucial Data Recovery on the internet and began corresponding with Alex. They were able to recover ALL of the videos!!! I cannot begin to explain how much that meant to my wife and I. I shipped my camcorder off on a Tuesday and received it the following Tuesday. The whole process only cost $169. Alex had a tremendous sense of urgency and was very professional. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anybody!!!!    - Rich L. - Evanston, IL

These guys are fast and fair. If you need the data back after you screwed up and didn't have a back up hard drive covering your rear they can handle the job. If you can't fix it, they can at least get the data back in a reasonable amount of time and that's worth the cost.     - Art W. - Battle Ground, WA

Crucial Data literally saved my photography business. With out them, I would have owed clients close to $10,000 in session fees that I would have to pay back. As well as the numerous weddings that I would have lost which cannot be replaced. Thank you so much for saving my business! And on top of that, they let me pay in installments which helped me out big. These guys are great and had my drive back to me in less than a week. So amazing! They diagnosed our drive within 24 hours of receipt. Two days later, 100% of my data was being shipped back on a new drive I provided. They offered a free diagnosis and quote, while others may charge up to $59 just to give you a quote. Our drive had a head crash, so it was a mechanical fix in the clean room for a flat $649. The difference is that once they diagnose your drive, they offer a flat rate recovery fee based on level of failure. Others gave me open ended quotes ranging from $349 to over $2,100.    - GAMA Health Tech I. - Edmond, OK

My companies' server hard drive crashed and our off-site back-up service did not come through for us. If we couldn't recover this data it would have meant several years of information lost. Our IT consultant exhausted all his resources in trying to recover the data. We finally sent it off to Crucial Data Recovery and Alex handled our problem in 24 hours with great communication, service and price. 100% of the data was recovered. My wife and I thought we had lost the irreplacable pictures of our sons birth and those intimate moments of a newborns first days. When our hard drive crashed with those pictures, we thought we has lost them forever. Alex and the team with Crucial Data Recovery gave us back those memories! We turned to CDR knowing we has a serious issue. Our drive was not turning and would need a "clean room" in hopes of any chance at a recovery. CDR did everything they said they would do at the very best price everywhere we looked. We will always turn to CDR for any recovery need. Thank you CDR!    - Gary L. - Glen Allen, VA

I highly recommend this company!! They were able to quickly recover my data, after my laptop's hard disk crashed. They were courteous and responsive and a pleasure to deal with. I did some research and found their flat rates to be very attractive (while other companies used false advertisement to lure you into sending them your hard disk, only to find out that the price they were asking for was exorbitant. One company asked for $1800+ to recover my data (vs. Crucial Data Recovery's flat rate of $649). I will definitely use them again and recommend them highly to friends and family.    - Andrea B. , President, Non-Profit Organization -Cincinnati, OH

A regional company where several hundred thousand go for sales and repairs could not help with a crashed hard drive. This took them 3 days to work on the problem and get back to me, saying nothing could be done. When they returned the file to me, the partition with the data I was trying to recover was asking to be formatted. Since I was mainly after some family photos that of course weren't backed up, I looked for another alternative. I found Crucial Data Recovery on the web and thought I would give them a try. Their prices were reasonable and seemed to have positive feedback. After Crucial Data Recovery received my file from their notification email, the next day, I was called, and told they could get to the data and it would cost $369 for the standard service and that all files looked good and weren't corrupted. I needed an additional drive to get the data back to me which was another $75. CDR received my damaged drive Wednesday afternoon, they had my data recovered and on a new drive and shipped back to me the following Monday. It is the best money spent this year!! I would definately use them in future and I have already told my friends to use Crucial Data Recovery. I got the prompt response, I was getting email updates at every step. They recovered the data immediately and the good thing was that they put the data on DVD's which are included in the price, unlike others where they force to buy their external hard drive for which they charge marked up prices. To cut the long story short, CDR guys are best and econimical. I highly recommend to use them.    - Sanjiv K. - Edison, NJ

Nothing makes you feel more vulnerable than having a hard drive crash. I looked online for many different vendors before choosing Crucial and am so very glad I did. While other vendors said if my drive suffered mechanical damage the cost to retrieve the data (if possible) would start at $2500. Crucial Data has two prices. One price (around $350) if they don't need to use the clean room, and another (around $650) if the drive does need the clean room. To make a long story short, Alex kept me informed at every step of the process and made the entire transaction easy and painless. Crucial recovered all of my data and returned it to me on a new drive. Total cost for their service including the new drive was under $750, and I received the new drive about 1 day after they retrieved my data. I'm a very happy guy. I hope to never need their services again, but if I ever have a drive crash again, I'll be sending it to Crucial Data Recovery for sure!    - Steve L. - Bellevue, WA

I had SimpleDrive with 100 gigs of family pics and videos on it, and it completely died!! Stupid me, the files were hogging up my PC, so I put them all on my new SimpleDrive (without thinking I’d need to buy a second back up to back that up). I trouble shot everything and nothing fixed it- bought new housing; different computers; tried special software; etc. but nothing worked. I finally sought out repair service, and THANK GOODNESS I found a company that retrieved everything. I was worried about getting scammed but this company was legit. Site is http://www.crucialdatarecovery.com , super fast work! Mine was complete system failure so wasn’t cheap to retrieve it ($650) but I’m just estatic I got my stuff back. Best part that sold me is they don’t charge unless they can save your data- most others will charge you, even if you end up empty handed. They have fixed pricing too, based on levels of support needed, so it was full disclosure from the start. Anyway, go to this company if you need your data back. I recommend them 100%. I’m watching my children’s videos from 6 years ago and they are awesome! Can’t believe I almost lost everything for good.    - Aaron L. - Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

I was looking for a data recovery company that was in my budget range, and the first two companies I called were very steep -- up to $2500, and that was more than what I could afford. Then I found this growing company in Ohio that has been around for several years that was far more reasonable for what I could afford -- Crucial Data Recovery. The website for the data recovery service is well designed in my opinion, and it is very informative regarding their services and pricing for data recovery. Although I filled out an online form to submit an order on their website for my damaged hard drive, I phoned the company , and I spoke to the owner directly, and he was very polite and informative. I felt comfortable in speaking with him, and he answered my questions that I had regarding data recovery from my damaged hard drive. I had a very good experience browsing the company's website, and in speaking with the company's owner, and so I chose to go with them. The turnaround from the day I shipped out my hard drive to the day I recieved it back was only eight days, which surprised me very much, and I got all the data back from the failed hard drive that was important to me. The service was very fast for what I paid to recover the data. Although I paid $13 for shipping of the drive to the company in Ohio, the flat rate fee of $369 that I was quoted for the data recovery included return shipping cost of the drive, as well as the DVD onto which the recovered data was copied onto. There is no doubt in my mind that if I ever have a hard drive failure again and I need to recover data from that drive, I will unhesitatedly contact Crucial Data Recovery, and if I ever know of anyone who needs such a service, I will undoubtedly refer them to this data recovery service, a company that is very honest, fair and reputable. I must say one last thing here -- I am visually impaired, and in filling out this review, I must click on a star to indicate the rating for the company's service, and I cannot see what I am clicking on. In my words though, the company deserves a five-star rating all the way.    - Steve P. - Villa Park, CA

I had a raid array fail, one drive started clicking, the other developed numerous bad sectors. Anyone in the computer industry would tell you that you're toast. I called Crucial Data Recovery at 8am on a Saturday morning and left a message expecting a call back on Monday. No more than 2 minutes later my phone rang and it was Alex. He said that for a small fee he could do it that same day, on a Saturday! I met him at 10am, by 6pm 100% of my data was recovered and on an external usb drive that I got to keep. I tried all kinds of software myself claiming to do what Alex did, and none of them could recover a single file, let alone 90 gigs worth. Everything about Alex and Crucial Data Recovery screams excellence and professionalism. They went far beyond my expectations, were 1/4th cost of the cheapest online competition I found and they did it the same day! The closest with another service would have cost 5x as much and taken 3 days. Words cannot express how impressed and blown away I am by Crucial Data Recovery. I will be recommending them to anyone who asks about a similar service. A+    - Rob T. - Cleveland, OH

EXCELLENT Service! They were super quick and professional. I had a damaged drive and they were still able to get all my data. I sent out the drive on Monday. They got the drive, diagnosed, completed data pull, and delivered back to me by Saturday the same week! Can't say enough good things!    - Stephanie L. - New York, NY

My laptop was trampled and my hard drive quit working. I needed my data recovered urgently, so after an extensive internet search for data recovery companies I came across Crucial Data. Their prices were reasonably less expensive then other companies so I decided to contact them and get more details about their services. As far as service goes, staff were always available during day and night hours. My hard drive spindle was damaged and needed physical invasive recovery. Diagnosis and Data recovery was very smooth and prompt and was complete within 3 days from the time they received my laptop, without paying for the additional expedited service. I paid $649 for data recovery, $75 for a 250GB external hard drive (you can get less expensive from outside stores but I didn't want to waste any more time) and $25 for them to ship my laptop back. Total was $749. The costs of physcial data recovery are inherently high, but this company seems to be reasonably priced and I had a very good experience with crucial data recovery. I would strongly recommend it. I also recommend you always have a back up external drive!!!My laptop was trampled and my hard drive quit working. Managed to completely recover my data from a damaged hard drive for the expected price, which was as advertised on the website (some other services I looked at did not have a cap on the price for their service). Very straight-forward and direct service, and they worked quickly. Would recommend this service.    - Matthew S. - Gainesville, FL

I had a 1.8 in PATA hard drive that failed. Alex was very clear as to the costs for the recovery. I called another service and they gave me a very open ended price. I dropped the drive off to Alex at 5:00 pm on a Thursday. Email updates were excellent. My drive had several bad sectors. The data was extracted by 3:00 pm the next day. Thanks for the quick turnaround and great service.!!    - David B. - Cleveland, OH

Crucial Data Recovery did an outstanding job. I had a hard drive crash and some of the data on the hard drive was never backed up on a back up drive. So this data was important to me. The turnaround time was 2 days from when it was received. That is great service. All data on the drive was recovered. Great prices and even the price for a new external hard drive that was used to store the recovered data was reasonable. No price gouging. I recommend Crucial Data Recovery very highly.    - John B. - Long Beach, CA

My computer had cauhgt a virus and I needed to recover all the data from my hard drive. Alex at CDR was very professional and stuck to the price they agreed to and recovered all my data off my hard drive within 24 hours. I can recommend them very highly.    - Paul F. - Chesapeake, VA

Crucial Data Recovery: They were upfront about costs and expectations. They delivered results! They hold the recovered files on local server until verification of recovery and then they are deleted. I am not a trusting person and would like to have seen a confidentiality agreement. I would use them again, but I hope I never have too.    - Charles S. - Cleveland, OH

I could not have been more pleased with my service from Crucial Data Recovery. I searched around the region and around the country. Nowhere did I find someone who promised me good results, prompt results and a fair price. CDR's price was exactly as estimated....not a penny more. More importantly is was 200% to 300% less than anyone else. And...they are right up the street from me.    - Ted H. - Cleveland, OH

Crucial Data Recovery was able to get all of my files back after dropping my external drive causing damage to the read and write heads. I initially sent it into another data recovery company in which they quoted me a ridiculous price of $1800. After shopping around, I found CDR and Alex was very transparent in the price (which was more than half off the $1800) and very prompt in responding to my emails. I highly recommend, but hopefully I won’t ever have to use data recovery services again . Thanks Alex!     - Campbell Puckett - Dallas, TX

Crucial Data Recovery Testimonial A couple of years ago one of the external hard drives I used as overflow storage failed. I didn’t have the data backed up and wasn’t totally sure what was on the disk but I knew it had some family photos. We let the IT person at my wife’s work take a look at it but in the end, he told us he wasn’t able to retrieve any data and it appeared the disk was empty. Discouraged, the disk sat on my desk for another year before the topic of data recovery came up in casual conversation with the IT director at my work. He recommended Crucial Data Recovery (CDR) and described his excellent experience using them to recover one of his personal hard drives. With skeptical but renewed hope, I contacted CDR the next week. Since I live in the Cleveland area, I was able to bring the drive to their storefront on my lunchbreak. Before I was back on the highway, I received an email notifying me that my case had been submitted and by the end of the day the free diagnostic report was complete and an estimate for the data recovery was offered. Two days later CDR was able to show me the files and folders that were on the drive and by noon that day I was able to pick up the new hard drive with all 128GBs of my data restored. Looking through the files I potentially lost, I am eternally grateful for the work CDR performed. I had multiple years of vacation photos and other images from major family milestones on the drive that could have been lost forever in addition to data from personal projects I had put a lot of time into. From all the other services I looked into, CDR was by far the most reasonable and I can’t imagine any other service being more responsive and professional. Emails were instantly responded to, they kept me apprised of every step of the process, and there were no hidden or add-on costs. I would use CDR again without hesitation. I highly recommend CDR!     - Jim B. – Kingsville, OH

With my severely failed drive, several companies quoted me huge prices, many based on unpredictable labor hours, and some of which were payable even if they couldn't recover anything. With Crucial Data Recovery, they claimed to charge a far more reasonable, FLAT fee, which I wouldn't pay at all if they couldn't recover anything for me. That's why I chose them, and I'm very happy that I did. I received fantastic service from Alex the entire time, starting from the day I asked about the service. They evaluated my drive the same day that they received the drive. The exact flat price quote I received after their evaluation was exactly what I paid. No hidden fees, no surprises. Additionally, Alex kept me posted frequently on their progress, so I never felt that I was a forgotten customer. I highly recommend this company for anyone's data recovery needs!    - Laren Botello - Greer, SC

I was nervous as there are many scams out there, but Alex and the team at crucial data recovery were responsive and quick about there service. After about 14 emails back and forth with me asking every kind of question i could think of Alex was still answering me promptly and with patience. It is nice to know friendly professional service still exists. BTW thank you again for recovering my crucial data!    - Presto B. - Chester, IL

I am a writer. I lost 5 chapters of my book to a failed flash drive. I was almost resigned to having to rewrite this section of the book because another company quoted me a price of $1700.00 to retrieve the data. Once written it is hard to duplicate the direction of a story not to mention the specifics. Long story short; Crucial Data Recovery quoted me $595.00 for the same work and had it done and back to me within a couple of days. Two thumbs up! Five stars and a multitude of thanks. P. Mark DeBryan author of Family Reunion.    - P. Mark DeBryan - Elkview, WV

Crucial Data Recovery is the greatest! Quite frankly, I was a bit leery of dealing a company I found on the Internet and entrusting my physical hard drive to people I did not know. Having no local options and relying on blind faith, I did. And I am glad I did. Crucial Data Recovery got a file from my hard drive that I thought I had lost forever and all of the other files from the hard. Thanks for help.    - Tom Brown - Rehoboth Beach, DE

A few weeks ago, our SD camera card with over 2,000 pictures on it--including a bunch of reference photos I had recently spent a decent bit of time acquiring for the artwork in my next book-- suddenly lost ALL the pictures on it. I still don't know why. Obviously, we should have been more on the ball with backing up our pictures. But we weren't, and we wanted those pictures back. Before I checked into Crucial Data Recovery, the cheapest quote I got for retrieval of our lost data was $400. When you're not swimming in money, that's a decent chunk of cash. Thankfully, I was able to find this company, and they were able to retrieve our photos for only $169-- which is not bad at all, when we were looking at $400. Not only that, but they processed my card quickly, kept me very up to date on progress through email, and had the pictures back in the mail to me within just a couple days from them receiving the card. One note: unless I misunderstood, they were planning to send the pictures back to me on the same SD card, which seemed rather risky, considering that they had just been lost from that card. That's why I gave them four stars instead of five. But when I requested something different, they willingly put the pictures on DVDs for no extra charge. Overall, we were very happy, and would definitely consider using this company again should (I hope not!) we need data recovery services in the future. Thank you Crucial Data Recovery for your efficient, affordable service!    - Caryl H. - Floyd, VA

I had an older Seagate drive fail unexpectedly, and my most recent backup was a few months out of date. I was prepared to just accept the loss of data since the only other time I contacted a recovery company they quoted me around $1800 to recover the data (which is way beyond affordable to me). I found Crucial Data Recovery while looking for a recovery company on the internet recently, and since I was missing a few pictures of my children, I decided to contact them and inquire about their services. I spoke to Alex over the phone and after I explained the nature of the drive failure, he was optimistic that he could recover all of the data, and for an affordable price. I sent him the drive and within a couple of hours of its delivery to him, he had identified the problem and was able to confirm that he could make a 100% recovery of all of my files, and at a price I could afford. I hope I don't need a recovery service again, but if I do, Crucial will be the first place I call!    - Dan Nealy - Rosenberg, TX

My son's school film project of 30+ hours was inadvertently erased from a hard drive after it was reformatted. Thinking all was lost I called a friend who recommended Crucial Data recovery. They saved the day and many students hours of work. They were quick, professional and very fair in cost. I can't thank them enough!!!    - Laura Holland - Cleveland, OH

I dropped my hard drive and found that my data were not accessible due to hardware damage. I called dozens of companies to ask how I can recover it. Most of them gave me price that were off my limit or did not give me a clear quote. When I called CDR, Alex gave me upfront price guide, which was most affordable and reasonable. He sounded professional and sounded like he knows what the issue is. He did not over promise or exaggerate the problem like other companies did. He also offered an emergency service at slightly higher cost. Thanks to that, I was able to get my data 100% recovered in 3 days, and was able to continue working .    - JI Kim - Troy, MI

I contacted Crucial Data Recovery after talking to a couple of local data recovery companies in the Seattle area that told me it would cost $200 for a diagnosis and then as much as $3000 to recover files from a Western Digital external drive (single) that held a decades-worth of pictures and important information. Crucial Data assured me that they could recover the information for about 30% that cost so I decided to give them a try and shipped my drive to them. Within 2 days of getting the drive, they let me know the cost would be just under $800, and would cost nothing if they were unsuccessful. The next day, they emailed me to say they had 100% recovery and placed my files on a new drive, then shipped back to me in less than a week. They were also very responsive to all my questions through the process via email. Highly recommend their services!    - Sarah Davie - Fall City, WA

discovered Crucial Data Recovery when our SD card corrupted in one of our cameras during a wedding we were photographing. They provided us with exceptional service, recovered all of the data from our card, which had a corrupted controller, and our wedding clients are happy to get ALL of the photos we had taken for them. They were wonderful at responding quickly to all of my e-mail inquiries and their prices are reasonable considering the work required. Highly recommended, and although I hope to never need data recovery again, I wouldn't think twice about using their service if I had too.    - Albert Jurina - Harrisburg, PA

Alex and the team at Crucial Data are hands down the best in the business. Fantastic communication, unbeatable prices, stellar customer service all when it comes to something as sensitive in our lives as lost electronic data. I wont ever go anywhere else and ill make certain any friends or family that I have go to Crucial Data! Thanks Alex! You guys are the best!     - Doug Wolfe~DefPiks Photographys, Ltd - Solon, OH

Quick turn around, even during the holidays. All our data was intact. and He got the job done for $500 less than another place we looked into. We just had a hard drive stop for no apparent reason. Clean room was required, so had to send it off. Prompt responses to all our questions, also when we called, a real live person answered the phone. Legit company and results are good. It's expensive in general to get data back. Back up back up back up!    - Katrina Gagner - Wichita Falls, TX

I must admit that I had never had a complete drive failure like I suffered recently, and I was dubious about what could be done to retrieve my data. After reviewing the Crucial website and corresponding with Alex via email, I felt that I wasn't risking anything to send in my external hard drive for analysis. I had already taken it to a local repair shop, who said there was nothing they could do, since the drive was physically damaged and only a clean-room engineer would be able to work on trying to recover my data...IF POSSIBLE!!! I was thrilled when Alex let me know that they had analyzed my drive and were optimistic that they could recover the important data on my drive. I was even more thrilled when ALL MY DATA was recovered, and I was more than happy to pay the fee. Without recovery, I would have lost more than Crucial's fee, in lost hours (to reassemble), lost files and business-related data. Crucial (and Alex) have restored my faith in online services and I recommend their service, without any hesitation. They were great!!    - Ron Pagano, JD - Salisbury, MD

Three weeks ago our computer crashed. We totally panicked because our computer is integral to the running of our business, our personal finances and tax documents. All data was declared unretrievable by our local computer repair shop and his best suggestion was that he could send it off to California to see if they could help but he warned me, if it was possible, it would be very expensive and then asked "how much is this data worth to you." I was totally uncomfortable sending our hard drive across the country plus time was of the essence. I had already wasted two weeks waiting to see if our local computer repair shop could retrieve our data. We finally, in desperation went online and found Crucial Data Recovery. We read all of their glowing reviews and felt that if any local company could do the job...they could. We dropped our computer off near closing time on Thursday evening. On Friday, the very next day. Alex emailed with his diagnosis of our problem and that the cost would be $795.00 and no charge if he was unable to retrieve all of our data. We needed to purchase an additional drive because of the abundance of retrieved data and we could provide our own or purchase one from Alex. We were delighted to purchase an additional drive from Alex so he could retrieve our data immediately. All of our data was returned to us by Monday. The turn around time was really two business days! Amazing!!! Alex communicated with us throughout the entire process, quoted us a very reasonable price and did exactly what he said he would do. Every bit of our retrieved data is usable. We live on the West Side of Cleveland but the peace of mind that Alex provided us was worth the 50 minute drive. Our thanks to Alex for his outstanding company and the service he provided to us.    - Carol Marshall Avon Lake, OH

Fantastic, lightening fast customer service. Seriously, i got an answer to my emails within minutes during business hours. I have put in my request, they emailed me the next morning with more details, we discussed my case over emails, and i sent my drive. They were able to get me a 100% recovery within 2 days after they received my bad HDD (power outage burned the PCB). Fast 2 day shipping, I payed through PayPal. It was a very positive experience, I will not hesitate to reach out to them again to fix an old external hard drive once I receive it from overseas. Special thanks to Alex who assisted me from A to Z.    - Nabil Chahbani Novi, MI

While my files weren't years of critical financial data, they were 3-4 years of photographs (nearly 1 TB) that were stored on an external hard drive. When that drive failed I looked at options to try to recover the data since I shoot semi-pro and do print and sell my images. Most businesses were asking nearly twice the price to attempt the recovery. Crucial Data Recovery was very competitive with their rates and had good reviews. I contacted them both on the phone and through their website and spoke to Alex. He was quite helpful and the website template easy to complete. They were able to recover all of the files and mailed the new drive to me very promptly. Overall I'm very satisfied with the service and feel the fees are reasonably priced. Though, I hope I never need data recovery again, I'd certainly use this business to try to save my files.    - Terry Rascoe Temple, TX

So I've been on a 4 year adventure that leads me to give you one piece of advice: BACK UP YOUR DATA TWICE! SO like a Quintin Terrentino movie, let's go back. I had one HD, a seagate... the company with the highest drive failure rate. But I used it rarely so I said, "no prob, I only need it on one drive." Then bam... drive failure! Years of data, photos, videos, everything... gone, to the sound of grunting HD engine noises. So I tried Best Buy.... $1800, nope. Tried $300 data recovery, they said no but they can send it to "one of their partners" for $1200 plus, classic bait and switch... no thanks ya hoser. I was just getting ready to consign the HD to the abyss at the rifle range, when I read about Crucial Data Recovery. Needless to say, I was very skeptical. I called Alex and within 2 minutes, I felt he was the real deal. $759 fee was reasonable, no fee if no recovery, but I was still not optimistic.... Nothing to lose. So I send it in, and Alex communicates with you every step of the way of the recovery process from start to finish. Outcome: 100% RECOVERY! All my files! I'm pretty sure Bill Gates and Steve Jobs call Alex for help, because he's a data god! I can't say thank Alex enough. I know it sounds silly, but getting your old photos and memories back is priceless. Moral of the story: I use 3 external HD's (not seagate) now for back up in 2 locations, and if I ever need help again, this is the only place to go. THANK YOU AND WITH GRATITUDE    - Brian S - Manilius, NY

These guys are good! After I crashed out, I did an extensive search online of HDD data recovery companies. Of all of the many that I reviewed, Crucial Data Recovery was the only outfit that did not have a complaint posted against them or something negative written about their operation. All I found was positive reviews. This company also posts the prices for its basic services. Crucial Data Recovery offers very competitive pricing. They wanted to make sure that I was satisfied and more than proved that they wanted and appreciated my business. They didn't try to upsell, gouge or change any price. They provided good, fast and efficient service and per the terms of their service agreement. I absolutely recommend this company to anyone unfortunate enough to require HDD data recovery services.    - Barry S. - Saint Rose, LA

We recently had a new PC built and I was assured that the old HD, which held ALL of my precious photos of my kids, family, events, etc, could be put into the new computer and be accessed as a storage drive. Well, that didn't work. The HD was not accessible. I sent it to a computer guru friend who attempted to access the drive but he was not able to and told me that was the first time he had ever been unable to access data on a hard drive. I was heartbroken and truly despaired thinking ALL of those memories were potentially gone forever. I called a few data recovery companies but the quotes for just the diagnostics were at least $100 (nonrefundable even if they couldn't recover the info), and then THOUSANDS of dollars if they were to be able to recover the files (I had 450+ GB of data). I found crucial data recovery and after reading the reviews, I sent the HD in. The USPS kept sending me messages that they had attempted to deliver the drive but were unsuccessful so I called and spoke to Alex who took care of the delivery issue in less than an hour. After the diagnosis and the determination that the data would need clean room access i gave the go ahead. I was quoted a very fair and definitive price before consenting and again, was reassured that if the data were not recoverable, I would not owe ANYTHING. The next day, I received an email that the data was recovered and ready!! I CANNOT PUT INTO WORDS THE SENSE OF RELIEF I HAD!! The large size of all of the files cost an additional $79 for me to purchase a large capacity external HD but I was also given the option of mailing my own external hard drive. After the data was transferred, I received the external hard drive with all of my intact files within 3 days. I cannot say enough good things about this company, their communication, and the cost of their service was so easy and worth it from start to finish!    - Jackie Campbell Durham, NC

We recently had a client with a drive failure, and their backups weren't as up to date as they thought they were. Found Crucial Data Recovery online, while trying to find a company that offers emergency service (client needed data recovered ASAP). Their prices are fantastic, especially for the level of service you get. Alex kept in touch with me every step of the way, and always called if I didn't notice any email he sent me (within 15 minutes pretty much every time). We shipped them the drive on a Friday, and had all our client's data back on a USB external by Tuesday. I highly recommend them for any of your data recovery needs. We will definitely be using them in the future.    - Computer Visionaries Pittston, PA

First off let me begin saying that I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Alex at Crucial Data Recovery. He is truly a LIFE SAVER. I am an educator, DJ, and public speaker. During a presentation my 500 GB external hard was accidentally knocked to the floor. Panic was not a big enough word fr what I felt. ALL of my PowerPoint presentations, music library, lesson plans, and cherished images were all compromised. In EVERY sense of the word my ENTIRE livelihood was on this drive. My drive would no longer dock or read on my laptop. I immediately took my drive to my personal long time IT tech here in Oakland, CA and was informed that I had experienced a "severe head crash" and that the chances of recovering my data was slim to none. He referred me to a company that he had experience with data recovery before in state and I promptly shipped my drive to them for evaluation and possible repair. Keep in mind that this couldn't have happened at a more importuned time.I had a huge public speaking engagement and DJ gig coming up weeks away. Unfortunately I was informed by this "data recovery" company that I had indeed encountered a severe head crash and that they would be sending my drive back as there was nothing they could do. Disheartened but not losing hope, I scanned through and searched "severe hard drive" and "data recovery" companies all over the internet. Chance would have it that I came upon a company called Crucial Data Recovery located all the way in Ohio. I combed through their web site reading blogs and testimonials all the while knowing time was not on my side. Aside from their no data recovery, no charge policy, I was hooked by their 92.5% recovery rate! I sent my drive off immediately! Alex was so helpful throughout the ENTIRE process. I was ECSTATIC upon receiving the email message from him stating that he was indeed able to recover almost ALL of my data! I was provided with a brand new 1 TB drive that is so efficient and slim unlike the "VHS" type external drive I used to lug around. Again I'd like to thank Alex and ALL the good folks at Crucial Data Recovery. You all are truly THE BEST!    - Durwin Brown Founder/CEO The Catalyst Foundation for Youth Development - Oakland, CA

I'm a disabled musician with a home studio. My External Storage device, Western Digital My Book 1TB, had mechanical malfunctions that would prevent it from opening. Not only did I have all my home studio projects locked up in it, but I also had over 1500 CDs, MP3s and WAV.files that were locked in, too. I looked at a COUPLE of different Data Recovery companies before I found CRUCIAL DATA RECOVERY. The BEST price I got from one of them was $1900USD, BECAUSE they said they had to FIX the storage device BEFORE retrieving the data. Understandable, but I'm on a VERY LIMITED INCOME while waiting on my disability cases to finish. Once I got the quote I looked further into some companies and found CDR. Not only were they recommended by other regular people like me, but they're recommended by other Data Recovery firms as reliable, Honest and NON-DEVIATING from their TOP PRICE of $759, Even to FIX My Book to recover the data. A couple of days after CDR received my WD Book, I received the email that they recovered ALL my data, and the price was EXACTLY $759. I sold a guitar to my friend for $700 and then sent the full payment, and had ALL my data recovered and moved into my new G-Drive external storage device. The PRICES that MOST data recovery companies charge is GREAT for the HIGH PROFILE Clients that they get, but it's totally RIDICULOUS when you're just an ordinary person with little income. I'd recommend CDR to EVERYONE who need their data recovered WITHOUT getting RIPPED OFF. Thanks, CDR!    - Mytch Meadows, Camano Island, WA

Hi Alex. You are amazing!!!! Thank you so much for restoring my priceless photographs. I gave your name and your company's name to my local computer store to try and get you some more business. They have customers that need the kind of services you provide but don't want to pay the high prices that other companies charge. You can't imagine the little dance my heart did when I looked at the pictures of my only grandson that have been taken over the years; that I thought was lost forever. A sincere thank you and just so you know I am telling all my friends about the awesome job you did. Anyway good luck in your business and remember you have a thankful fan.     - Helen Van De Valde, Albuquerque, NM

This is my second time using Crucial Data Recovery and my second time was also a great experience. This time due to a failed external hard drive, I’d lost about 80,000 files, 20,000 of which I had no backup for. I got an estimate within a day of submitting my case online and a final price quote within a few days of sending the drive. It was a difficult recovery which took some time, but Vlad and his team kept me updated throughout the entire process. They were able to recover about 90% of the files in their original form, and of the damaged 10%, about 5% had minor damage (for example, a photo with one small blurred-out section that can easily be cropped out.) After repairing the drive they sent it back promptly. Hopefully I never need a data recovery device again, but if I do, Crucial Data Recovery will be the only company I contact. I highly recommend them.    - Charles O. - Middletown, OH
